Meet our Managing Director, Andy.  Andy has experienced almost 30 years in the removal industry and it is nearly 20 years since he formed Appleyards of Hull.

Married to Amanda and with 3 children Andy is currently overseeing the next planned expansion of the existing site on Therm Road. 

Role At Appleyards

In addition to overseeing the day to day running of the company Andys roles include

• Selling International and European Removals
• Backing up on UK domestic removal sales www.removalshull.com/house-removals
• Expanding Self Storage revenues www.hullselfstorage.com
• Managing the companies marketing
• Staff training and development

Hobbies & Interests

From a very young age Andy was taken into the mountains in both Scotland and The Lake District and this created a passion for the outdoors that has never left him. In recent years Mountaineering has given way to rock climbing in the summer and ice climbing in the winter.

A "mid life" challenge came along in the form of attempting to complete the then five World Major Marathons and having completed New York, London, Berlin and Chicago this just leaves Boston in April 2014 and training is well under way.

Andy also shares his love of art, antique furniture and gardening with Amanda.
