Moving To Europe With Appleyards

Each move is as different as the next.  A pre-move survey can be carried out to determine the requirements for your European move.  Appleyards of Hull have a trained removal team who would carry out packing as required – either a full or part pack service, or materials can be supplied for owner packing.  Groupage or part load services can be offered, as can full house removals carried out as a special dedicated load, and removal costs to your European destination can vary depending on the volume of goods to be moved.

Transit Times for Europe

Each country in Europe will have a different destination time.  It will depend if you are moving to Austria, moving to Sweden or moving to Romania, the transit time will vary.  This is because it will depend on how far the goods need to travel, the volume to be moved, how the goods will be moved – either by a road service or a shipment/airfreight depending on the best way to send goods to the destination country. It will also depend on how regular a removal service there is to the country of delivery too.

Restricted Items For Europe

On any European house move we would ask that the following items are not sent; Plants and plant materials, alcohol and tobacco, foodstuffs, perishables or otherwise, firearms and ammunition, inflammable goods and substances, narcotics, dangerous goods and indecent materials. Each country may also have their own requirements of items which can and cannot be sent.

Top Tip When Moving To Europe

Give yourself plenty of time to get the move organised – especially if you are moving to a country that doesn’t have a regular removal service to the area.  A quotation can be provided on request either by filling out a form on our website or by having a pre-move survey carried out in your own home.  You can then keep the quotation handy and start looking at collection and delivery dates as soon as you have them.
