Moving to France is one of our popular choices.

For many years France has been the main destination for people relocating from East Yorkshire to Europe either for employment or retirement. At times certain regions have become very popular, such as Provence or Brittany, but now moving to France seems to be more varied right across the country.

Moving To France With Appleyard's

For almost 20 years Appleyard's of Hull have been sending vehicles over to France, taking and bringing back customers household furniture and effects. With dedicated experienced European crews and modern well equipped vehicles most obstacles can be easily overcome.

A full packing service can be provided or alternatively cartons can be made available to assist you with the packing of smaller personal effects.

Transit Times For France

Generally a minimum of two weeks notice is required to organise a move to France. If a full house it to be sent over loading at the end of the week on a Friday or Saturday will generally mean delivery the following Tuesday or Wednesday. For all shared loads, whilst the week commencing date can be met, flexibility is needed as to the exact delivery date in order to be able to provide the most competitive pricing.

Restricted Items For France

It is not recommended to send the following items into France. Firearms, inflammable items, offensive material, alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, foodstuffs or plants.

Top Tip When Moving To France

Before booking your move check out the French public holidays as they are different to the UK and these can seriously affect the vehicle schedules. There are also summer driving restrictions for commercial vehicles that need to be considered if you are moving to France at this time of the year.
